Rotary Club of Midland supports youth business series with $6,400 donation

Route 93 Innovation Hub is pleased to announce that it has received a $6,400 sponsorship from the Rotary Club of Midland in support of its Leaders in Business Series, an initiative delivered in partnership with Georgian Bay District Secondary School (GBDSS). The series will be delivered monthly for a total of eight months, each with a different focus.

The Leaders in Business Series provides students with hands-on exposure to real-world business strategy, entrepreneurship, and leadership development. Through workshops and direct engagement with local business professionals, the Youth Leadership Series introduces high school students to the breadth of opportunities available in business. By sharing real experiences and diverse perspectives, the program aims to spark interest, expand students’ understanding of what is possible, and demonstrate that success and opportunity can be found locally.

“This contribution from the Rotary Club of Midland enables us to execute an engaging educational workshop series with our Leaders in Business Series,” said Kim Masin, Route 93 Manager. “Their support helps ensure that local youth can learn about different types of businesses and business roles. Our first speaker talked about turning passion into a business. It’s an opportunity for innovative thinking.”

The funding will be directed toward speaker engagements, workshop materials and snacks.

“We are proud to support programs that strengthen youth development and foster leadership within our community,” said Kelly Moss, Rotarian. “Route 93’s initiative aligns directly with Rotary’s commitment to education, empowerment, and community-building.”

Route 93 extends its appreciation to the Rotary Club of Midland for their continued dedication to the growth and success of future leaders in the region.
