World Creativity & Innovation Hub Day: Free Tech Talks, Building APPs and Networking

Together We Learn

Purpose: Turning Challenges Into Innovation. To spark meaningful connections, fresh collaborations, and collective growth with creativity & innovative entrepreneurs, leaders, and founders. Whether you’re aspiring to create something or you’re a seasoned innovator, we’d love to have you share your expertise or gain some valuable takeaways.

Come work at the Hub for an inspirational day to discuss your work challenges and leave with ideas and/or solutions.

It is our pleasure to have Marcia Woods as our Facilitator of the day. She is the Founder & CEO of Purchs, a B2B platform transforming how retailers and vendors manage wholesale ordering. A three-time tech founder, she brings over a decade of hands-on experience across retail and CPG supply chains—having built and operated her own distribution business serving everyone from independent retailers to national grocers.

She founded Purchs to replace fragmented workflows with a faster, more connected system—enabling retailers to order in seconds and vendors to streamline fulfillment.

Her company has been recognized by leading innovation organizations, including selection into the MaRS Agri-Food Tech Accelerator.

In addition to leading Purchs, Marcia serves on the board of Route 93, where she supports the next generation of leaders in creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. She is always willing to talk about innovation!

Our guest speaker, Jordana Wright, a local tech entrepreneur focused on helping everyday people, bring their big app ideas to life.

She’s currently building Epic Dates, a dating platform that solves some of the unique challenges of finding your person and keeping your relationship fun in a small town.

Prior to launching Epic Dates, Jordana built and scaled a social media app to over 50,000 users and a property rental app to thousands of spaces.

She is also very passionate about investing in mission-driven Canadian ventures. Most notably in her role as a director on the United Church of Canada Foundation board, which is advancing a bold commitment to putting 50% of their investments into impact funds.

Jordana is happy to chat about turning your ideas into profitable apps, launching and scaling a tech venture in a small town, and growing an impact investing portfolio.

This is a full-day event, but not a conference. The doors are open for you to come and work, chat and collaborate. Feel free to come and go as needed.

It’s a day designed to enjoy like-minded creative innovators and dreamers, build relationships, and turn conversations into action.
